Hello! I am April Hudgins, owner of this business, and I’m proud to call Mathews County, VA, my home. Here, I live happily with my husband, our two Brittanys—Honey and Sadie—and our beloved 16-year-old cat, Delilah. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and now I am dedicating my life to caring for them in all shapes and sizes.​​
My Story
My background includes working as a certified nurse’s aide in geriatrics, a behavior technician for children with autism, and an independent contractor for a pet sitting businesses. Through those jobs I developed a strong sense of empathy and attention to individual needs. Additionally, I was in the Honors College at George Mason University to study Social Work which also taught me the importance of connection and gave me an eye to see the needs of others.
After moving back to Mathews, I decided to start my business and I am thrilled to bring my passion for animal care back to my hometown and the surrounding areas! I thoroughly enjoy providing quality pet care and giving peace of mind to my clients while they are away. With experience in providing care for a variety of species, I am sure I can meet your expectations of a sitter. I will ensure your pets are happy, healthy, and well-loved while you’re away.
