April Hudgins, Owner
Hello! I am April Hudgins, owner of this business, and I’m proud to call Mathews County, VA, my home. Here, I live happily with my husband, our two Brittanys—Honey and Sadie—and our beloved 16-year-old cat, Delilah. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and now I am dedicating my life to caring for them in all shapes and sizes.​​​
I grew up here in Mathews and moved back after attending the Honors College at George Mason University. I studied Social Work and worked in various settings as both a Certified Nurses Aid and Behavioral Technician. Through those jobs I developed a strong sense of empathy and attention to individual needs. I bring my skills and passion for caregiving into my business. I enjoy building lasting relationships with the animals I work with and their owners.
Barb Novack, Sitter
Barb moved to Mathews in 2023 and is enjoying the small town feel after living in Corpus Christi for several years. There, she enjoyed sitting for her neighbors and having her own pets. Now, she loves sitting for the residents of Mathews County. Her flexibility, attentiveness, and communication skills have been highlighted by many of our clients!
Alexis Richardson, Sitter
Alexis grew up in Gloucester County and has always had a passion for animals, big and small. Most of her work experience has been working with children and caring for her own pets. Now, she is back in Gloucester and loving working with her favorite population--animals! She is currently working on her bachelors degree through an online program which allows her to be flexible and available for overnight stays and more. Alexis serves Gloucester County residents.
